Samuel prides himself on providing life changing advice with his knowledge and skill set, mixed with his high standards of service, that sets him apart. He believes education is a key ingredient to a successful financial future and works very closely with his clients to ensure they understand each step of their financial journey. Samuel comes with over ten years of industry experience, previously holding senior positions at a mid-tier firm.
Outside of work Samuel loves to spend time on the golf course, albeit it’s generally in a bunker or the tall grass. He is a passionate Melbourne Demons supporter and looks forward to flying the ‘grand ol’flag’, high this year after they win the premiership…. Or next year, or the year after.
As cliché as it is, I would have to say my parents. Growing up I saw first-hand Mum and Dad work extremely hard in running their own business together. It was through them I learnt the determination and passion you need to have to run your own small business.
I would say starting Optalife would be my proudest accomplishment. This is a business that I have been able to grow to reflect my personal values and the way I feel financial advice should be delivered. I am able to work with clients whose goals align with mine and hopefully build relationships that last forever.
I grew up on a 26-acre hobby farm in the Gold Coast Hinterland. As a child my chores were mowing the never ending, always growing lawn, feeding our animals and general day to day maintenance of the property. Let’s just say there’s a reason I now work in an office environment and live in the big smoke.
Definitely Jim Carrey, he is my favourite actor by a mile. I grew up worshipping any Jim Carrey movie. I’ve been told we look similar and often have people tell me I am just as hilarious! Dumb and Dumber along with Ace Ventura 1 and 2 are three of the greatest movies ever made. Dumb and Dumber 2 is very questionable, but I’ll let it slide.
It’s a life that in twenty years’ time I will be extremely proud of and lived with no regrets. It's full of fun and adventures, with the financial security to do so, spent living with friends and family who mean the most to me.
